FIDDES Hard Wax Oil
Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is a blend of natural, quick drying, durable waxes and oils specifically formulated for application onto interior wood flooring and wood surfaces.
Available in following finishes Clear Matt, Clear Satin and Clear Semi-Gloss.
Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is also available in a range of Satin coloured tints.
These may be further coated with a Fiddes Clear Semi-Gloss or Matt finish.
A 5ml sachet is available, for all tinted satin tinted Hard Wax Oils.
Ideal for testing colour shades prior to application.

Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is a blend of natural oils & waxes offering exceptional durability & resistance for internal natural wood flooring, kitchen worktops (wood) and areas subjected to a high degree of wear.
- Produces a quick drying, natural satin / matt water repellent, tread-fast finish that will not peel or flake. To maintain / renovate, simply wash, buff or re-apply, following the guidelines below.
- Suitable for application onto children’s toys – EN 71-Toy Safety Certification
- Resistant to liquids: Tested in accordance with BS 3900 G5
- Resistant to wear: Tested in accordance with BS3900 E15
- Food Safe when dry
| Preparation | Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish. Sand the substrate with a fine 150 grade sanding paper or 150 grit sanding disk, removing all traces of dust. |

| Application | Ensure all areas to be coated are extremely well ventilated during and after application. Always test on a small area prior to initial application. No primer required. Maximum 2 coats recommended. Apply at room temperature. Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is formulated for application directly, and does not require thinning. |
| First Coat | Stir contents thoroughly before and during use, and apply in a warm, well ventilated room. Apply evenly using Fiddes Floor Oil Brush or a good quality bristle or synthetic brush, following the direction of the grain. Leave to dry 4-6 hours in warm, dry well ventilated conditions, or preferably overnight. |
| Second Coat | Apply as first coat. Leave to dry 4-6 hours in warm well ventilated conditions. Clean applicators with White Spirit. When the area is completely dry, a light buff will further enhance sheen level. With the exceptions of White, Belgium Grey and Oak Lightening, a single coat of Tinted Hard Wax Oil is recommended and then finished with Clear Hard Wax Oil. |
| Renovation | For regular cleaning apply a light spray of Fiddes Wood Surface Cleaner, and area buffed once dry removing any minor blemishes. Periodically, an application of Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner is recommended in areas subjected to heavy wear. Re application of Fiddes Hard wax oil may be required in certain areas, where staining is apparent. To renovate previous application of Fiddes Hard Wax Oil, lightly sand area with 150 grit sandpaper, and re-apply sparingly. |
| Coverage | A single application will cover approximately 20-24 square meters per litre,depending on the density of the substrate. |
